About Lindsay N. Brown

Lindsay N. Brown spent the first ten years of her career litigating complex criminal cases in state and federal court, first as a trial attorney with the Denver office of the Colorado State Public Defender and later as a partner with two top law firms in Denver. During that time, she tried more than 50 cases to verdict and was named one of Colorado’s “Rising Star” Super Lawyers from 2016-2021.

While working in litigation, Ms. Brown developed a robust juvenile and education law practice focused on helping students accused of wrongdoing fight against unfair and unwarranted consequences imposed by schools. With the evolution of Title IX, she began representing students and faculty in Title IX hearings and other misconduct proceedings and quickly learned how biased these processes were against the accused. Ms. Brown was very concerned by the ways in which schools routinely ignored even the most basic forms of due process. Recognizing the serious consequences that stem from an unfair system, she set out to hold schools and decision-makers accountable in order to protect the rights of the accused. Ms. Brown has had tremendous success representing students and faculty members in Title IX hearings at schools and universities in Colorado and beyond and has represented students in all grades ranging from kindergarten through graduate school.

To remain a sharp litigator, Ms. Brown maintains a federal criminal defense practice in the United States District Court for the District of Colorado. She was selected for inclusion on the CJA Panel in 2022, an honor reserved for the best criminal trial attorneys in the state. In 2024, she tried a three-week complex white-collar case in front of the Honorable Judge William Martinez and is scheduled for other jury trials in 2025 and beyond.

Lindsay N. Brown prides herself on being a tenacious and formidable advocate who thinks outside the box to achieve excellent results. Her clients have commented on the expertise and deep sense of commitment that she has shown while helping them navigate through complex and stressful legal proceedings. Ms. Brown brings a practical approach to her work on every case, carefully assessing the best route to resolution in the context of each client’s specific objectives.

Ms. Brown was selected to the prestigious Super Lawyers list in 2025.
